A former member representing Nasarawa Local Government Area in the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Ahmad Gama, has said Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf deserves a second term in office in view of the achievements recorded by his administration in the last three years.

Gama said the governor had demonstrated commitment to improving the welfare of residents through significant interventions in healthcare, infrastructure, education, women and youth empowerment, among other critical sectors.

He noted that the administration’s performance across key areas of development had strengthened the case for continuity, adding that the governor deserved another opportunity to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far.

According to him, the progress made in the health sector reflects the administration’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare services and enhancing the wellbeing of the people, particularly vulnerable groups.

Gama also highlighted developments in infrastructure and education, describing them as essential foundations for sustainable growth and improved living standards.

He said investments in roads and other public infrastructure, alongside efforts to strengthen the education sector, were contributing to the state’s development and creating opportunities for residents.

The former lawmaker further commended the administration’s empowerment programmes targeting women and youths, saying such initiatives were important for promoting economic inclusion, self-reliance and job creation.

He stressed that empowering women and young people would help reduce poverty, stimulate economic activities and support the development of communities across the state.

Gama urged residents to assess the administration based on its performance and developmental contributions, expressing confidence that a second term would enable the governor to sustain ongoing projects and address emerging challenges.

He maintained that continuity in leadership would provide an opportunity to build on the progress made in the past three years and ensure that more development initiatives reached the people.

Gama’s endorsement adds to the political discussion surrounding the governor’s performance and prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.
