In a move to harness the potential of social media and empower youths from Northern Nigeria, the Social Media Awareness and Promotion Development Association has brought together social media handlers to promote their activities on various platforms.
According to Secretary General Sharfaddeen Bature, the association aims to create a unified umbrella for social media influencers, starting with TikTokers.
Bature revealed that TikTok is the most widely used social media platform in Nigeria, with over 20 million young Nigerians actively using it.
The association’s goal is to provide a platform for Northern youths to showcase their talents and connect with a wider audience.
To achieve this, they plan to register with relevant bodies to harness their potentialities.
This initiative is a significant step towards promoting social media awareness and empowerment among Northern youths.
With the rise of social media, it has become an essential tool for self-expression, creativity, and connectivity.
As social media continues to shape the way we communicate and interact, initiatives like this will play a crucial role in promoting digital literacy and empowering young people to take advantage of the opportunities offered by social media platforms.
