Peaceful Eid Prayers Held Across Kano Emirates Amid Tight Security

Eid al-Adha prayers were conducted peacefully across the four emirates of Kano State, with worshippers turning out in large numbers to mark the celebration.

Radio Nigeria correspondent Abdullahi Jalaluddeen, who monitored the Eid prayers in Kano, Gaya, Karaye, and Rano, reports that the atmosphere was calm and orderly across the state.

Security was significantly beefed up in all prayer locations, with operatives deployed across strategic points to ensure a hitch-free celebration.

Residents were seen happily observing their Sallah festivities, with many of them dressed in new and colorful traditional attire.

In line with the spirit of Eid al-Adha, those who were able to perform the sacrifice have slaughtered their animals.

Many of them were seen distributing portions of the meat to relatives, neighbors, and the less privileged as part of the act of charity encouraged during the festival.

In the Kano metropolis, security personnel were also stationed at various flash points to maintain law and order and prevent any possible disturbances.

The overall celebration was described as peaceful, with residents commending the improved security presence and the orderly conduct of the Eid festivities across the state.
