The Katsina state wing of Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA) has elected new executives to run the affairs of the coalition for the next two years.
In his address the Katsina state outgoing coordinator Malam Abubakar Isa stated that the coalition with focused on education advocacy, rather than a conventional NGO has succeeded in bringing together civil society organisations, community-based organisations, faith-based organisations, education unions and other groups working on education issues for a better educational system in the state.
He explained that the election was conducted in line with the directives of the national body of the coalition. He added that its mission of promoting free, quality and inclusive education through effective civil-society participation has been commendable over the years. He urges the new executive to build on the already existing good will.
Similarly, in his address the newly elected state coordinator Malam Sada Shu’aibu promised to continue with the good work the coalition was known for especially in areas of education in emergencies, inclusive education, adult/non-formal education, vocational and technical education, formal education, ICT, and research/development.
Several education stake holders witnessed the election among other members of the coalition partners in the state.
