During a Press Briefing by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Zamfara State Police Command, SP Mohammed Shehu, said, the Special Forces acted on an intelligence Report about the movement of the bandits.
He said, the Bandits were sighted on 7 Motorcycles carrying sophisticated weapons moving to attack communities, block the road and kidnap innocent commuters and proceed to their enclaves at Mutu Forest under Tsafe local government.
Police confirms killing of a Monarch in Zamfara
Items recovered from the bandits after a gun battle include, 22 rounds of live ammunitions, an Operational Motorcycle and 2 tecno handset.
The PPRO Said, Zamfara Police Appreciated the people of the state for their unalloyed collaboration and synergy with the police and other security agencies and urged them to sustain the tempo.
