The Kano Concerned Citizens Initiative – KCCI – has called on Nigerians to collectively pray for divine deliverance from the multifarious securitychallenges currently bedevilling the country.
The Chairman of KCCI and Sarkin Shanu of Kano, Alhaji Shehu Muhammed, made thee call when he lead members of the organisation’s Executive Committee when they paid sympathy and condolence visits to families of Kano citizens caught out in the monday night attack by bandits on the Kaduna bound train from Abuja.
Sarkin Shanun Kano maintainedd that the train attack resulted in deaths, destruction and abduction of yet to be determined number of people, including citizens of Kano.
Alhaji Shehu Mohammad notes that Nigerians have to seek divine forgiveness for the many misdeedsThey are committing as a society.
The KCCI Chairman also pleaded with authorities to do all they can to nip the menace of banditry and kidnapping in the bud, lamenting the ugly scenario of the current inability of Nigerians to travel safely and in peace by any mode of transportation between Kaduna and Abuja.
Alhaji Shehu Muhammed disclosed that KCCI is organising special prayer sessions for the safe release of those abducted and repose of the souls of those who died.
