The Troops of the 3 Brigade Nigerian Army led by the commander Brigadier General Sinyinah Nicodemus have evacuated refuse from drainages at Igbo Road in Sabon Gari area of Fagge local government area of the state.
The gesture was part of the corporate social responsibility by the Nigerian Army on their host communities and also to mark the Army Day celebrations.
Speaking during the event Brigadier General Siniyah Nicodemus said the 3 brigades has chosen the area to conduct the refuse evacuation because of the large tonnes of refuse that was been dumped in the area, which is hazardous to the health of the people.
He noted that the gesture would send a signal to the people of that particular area so that they keep to their responsibility by keeping their community clean and safe.

” We are doing this for the people of this area as part of our social corporate responsibility , we started celebrating the Army day with jumu’at prayers, and today 2nd july is the day we are celebrating the Army day, this activity is to mark this years celebrations “
The Brigade Commander Appealed to the general populace to live to their responsibility by keeping their environment clean, with the aim of improving the health status of the people.
Salisu mohammed and Gloria Daniel were residents of sabon gari community, they appreciated the commitment of Nigerian Army for the gesture, stressing that the activity would play a significant impact in the improvement of human health,and will curtail the spread of communicable diseases.
The troops of the 3 brigade Nigerian Army who were agile started the refuse evacuation some few minutes after 6am .
