Zamfara State Police Command has successfully secured the release of Six Women and a one year old child abducted by bandits terrorising Kadamutsa village of Zurmi local government area of the state.
The State Commissioner of police CP Yusuf Kolo made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu.

It stated that, the Police Tactical Operatives in collaboration with Vigilante acted on intelligence information regarding the abduction of six women and a one year old child by bandits terrorist at Kadamutsa village of Zurmi LGA on 24th November, 2022.
The Police operatives mobilized to the location where a search and rescue operation was conducted along Zurmi – Jibiya axis, leading to the unconditional rescue of all the victims unhurt.
According to the statement, the victims were taken to the hospital for medical check, debriefed by the Police detectives and handed over their families.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf, while commending the Police operatives and vigilante for the successful rescue operation, also congratulates the victims for regaining their freedom, and reiterates the Command’s determination to rid the state out of criminal activities.
He also appeal to the general public to always report any suspicious movement to the nearest security agencies for prompt action.
