
The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kano State Chapter, has appealed to the Kano State Government to appoint competent technocrats and professionals to manage the affairs of Kano Pillars FC and other sports sectors in the state.
In a press release signed by Chairman Zaharaddeen Sale and Secretary Muhammad Nur Tijjani, SWAN urged the government to renovate and upgrade sporting facilities, including Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano Pillars Stadium, and others, to provide conducive environments for athletes and host national and international events.
SWAN also established an advisory committee to support the development of sports in Kano State, sympathized with the current crises affecting Kano Pillars FC, and urged stakeholders to work together to resolve the issues.
The association expressed its willingness to collaborate with the state government and the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to promote sports in Kano State.
