Senator Sani Musa(APC Niger) has urged Muslims to use the Holy month of Ramadan to pray for a more united and progressive Nigeria.
Musa made the call in a message to Nigerian Muslims on the commencement of the 2025 Ramadan fast.
He emphasized the importance of strengthening faith, engaging in worship and extending generosity to the less privileged during the Holy period.
He extended his heartfelt greetings to the Muslim community and all Nigerians, highlighting the values of Ramadan, which include kindness, charity, and togetherness.
The lawmaker encouraged Nigerians to reaffirm their commitment to uplifting those in need, fostering compassion and building bridges of understanding within their communities.
He also urged Nigerians to pray for peace, progress and the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, which he said is committed to improving the welfare of citizens.
He noted that food prices had now been dropping in the country and expressed hope for continued wisdom from Almighty Allah for the president and those in positions of authority.
Musa reminded Nigerians that Islam is a religion of peace and understanding, encouraging citizens to use the Holy season to foster unity, regardless of religious differences.
He prayed that Ramadan would be a time of renewal, forgiveness and reflection, leading to a renewed commitment to serving one another and the nation.
