The family of Hon. Sani Sha’aban, Danburan Zazzau and Barden Keffi, has officially announced his withdrawal from the race for the Zone One (Kaduna North) Senate seat and declared support for Speaker Tajuddeen Abbas.
In a statement released by the family and signed by Ahmad Bamalli, it was stated that the decision to step down from the contest was taken in the interest of his family.
According to the statement, “Hon. Sha’aban remains firm in this decision and will not be seeking any other political position in the state. He remains loyal to the party and is ready to contribute immensely towards the success of the APC in Kaduna State and Nigeria.”
The statement further noted that Hon. Sha’aban has pledged his full support for any candidate presented by the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Senate seat in the zone.
It also called on all Sha’aban supporters, party members, and the people of Kaduna North to respect and understand this decision, noting that he is content with “what Allah has decreed.”
The statement expressed appreciation to the people of Zone One and the wider Kaduna State for their continued goodwill, prayers, and support for Hon. Sani M. Sha’aban.
The announcement was signed by Ahmad Bamalli on behalf of the entire family of Hon. Sani Sha’aban.
