AKY 2027 Campaign Blueprint Committee holds maiden meeting, proposes 16 Strategic Pillars backed with KPIs

Kano State Executive Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf’s 2027 Campaign Blueprint Committee held its maiden meeting on Saturday 25th July 2026 with a commitment to review the implementation of the 2023 Blueprint 1.0 titled “My Commitment for Kano” and to produce Blueprint 2.0 to guide the administration’s policy direction for a second term.

The meeting chaired by its chairman Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, has amongst its members seasoned administrators, heads of MDAs, special advisers, academicians, former commissioners and MDs. The meeting reviewed a draft framework and proposed 16 strategic pillars grouped into 6 thematic areas, backed with strategic objectives, key activities and key performance indicators(KPIs).

The committee brainstormed on Governor Yusuf’s priorities and strategic vision for a second term from 2027 to 2031 and resolved to engage stakeholders from both state and non-state sectors to generate innovative ideas and policy recommendations that will produce a comprehensive, inclusive and people-driven blueprint capable of consolidating the gains of the present administration and accelerating Kano State’s development.

Members reaffirmed their commitment to work together and support His Excellency, the Executive Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, realises his vision of the Kano First Agenda in line with renewed hope agenda. While providing his opening remark, the chairman Dr Aminu Magashi Garba emphasized teamwork and resilience to discharge collective responsibilities with ethical professionalism, passion and patriotism to the state.

Members of the campaign blueprint, in their separate remarks, pledged their full support and commitment towards achieving the objectives of the committee. They emphasized the need for stakeholders’ engagement to get inputs of the citizens into the development process.  The maiden meeting concluded with resolutions to be holding meeting twice a week, one virtual and one physical aimed at producing a draft blueprint that will be launched by His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in September 2026, as well as use the blueprint to convene town hall meetings with various stakeholders and groups, media engagement through out the electioneering period.

The committee will be working under the close supervision of Governor His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf and his Deputy His Excellency, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo and expected to request for memos from all serving commissioners to enrich the blueprint development and promote inclusivity.
