Dr. Aminu Magashi Heads Committee to Draft Gov. Yusuf’s 2027 Campaign Blueprint

Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba has been appointed Chairman of a 17-member committee inaugurated by Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State to draft the blueprint for the governor’s 2027 re-election campaign and review the implementation of the administration’s 2023 policy document, My Commitment for Kano.

 

 

The inauguration, announced in a statement issued on Friday by the Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said the committee would work under the direct supervision of Gov. Yusuf and his deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo.

 

 

Dr. Yusuf Ya’u Gambo, Executive Chairman of the Strategic Governance and Policy Coordination Office, will serve as the committee’s secretary.

According to the statement, the committee is mandated to assess the implementation of the 2023 blueprint, identify programmes yet to be fully executed and incorporate them into a new document, Blueprint 2.0, which will serve as the policy framework for the administration’s proposed second term between 2027 and 2031.

 

 

 

Other members of the committee include Dr. Ibrahim Musa, Mallam Haladu Muhammad, Hon. Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Muhammad Nazir Halliru, Nana Asma’u Jibrin, Dr. Bashir Abdu Muzakkar, Dr. Farouk Kurawa, Kabiru Sani Yakubu, Dr. Abdulhadi Zubairu Chula, Engr. Yesmin Mukhtar, Dr. Halima Umar Sani, Dr. Kabiru Shehu, Barr. Musa Lawan Abdullahi, Dr. Nasiru Alasan Kabo and Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Getso.

 

 

 

The statement added that the committee would engage stakeholders from government, the private sector, civil society and other relevant groups to generate innovative ideas and policy recommendations for a comprehensive, inclusive and people-oriented development blueprint.

 

 

It said the new blueprint would consolidate the achievements of the present administration, address identified gaps in policy implementation and provide a strategic roadmap for accelerated socio-economic development across Kano State.

 

 

The government expressed confidence that the committee’s assignment would produce a forward-looking policy document capable of strengthening governance and responding to the aspirations of the people of Kano in the years ahead.
