– Kaduna State Governor, Sen. Uba Sani, on Tuesday commissioned the 3.6-kilometre Kwoi–Gora Road in Jaba Local Government Area, describing the project as a major milestone in the state government’s drive to expand rural infrastructure and enhance agricultural development.

The road was constructed under the Kaduna State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), an initiative aimed at improving rural road networks, facilitating access to markets and promoting socio-economic development in farming communities across the state.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Gov. Sani said the project reflected his administration’s commitment to improving the living conditions of rural residents through strategic investments in infrastructure that support agriculture, trade and economic activities.

He noted that the newly completed road would significantly improve connectivity between Kwoi, Gora and neighbouring communities, reduce travel time, lower transportation costs and facilitate the movement of agricultural produce to markets. According to him, the project will also enhance access to essential services, create economic opportunities and contribute to improved livelihoods for residents.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s determination to sustain investments in critical infrastructure, particularly in rural communities, to unlock their economic potential and accelerate inclusive development. He added that the state government would continue to partner with development agencies and stakeholders to bridge infrastructure deficits and promote agricultural productivity.

Residents and community leaders welcomed the commissioning of the road, expressing optimism that the project would boost commercial activities, improve access to healthcare and education, and strengthen economic ties among communities in Jaba Local Government Area. They commended the Kaduna State Government and RAAMP for prioritising infrastructure projects that directly impact the welfare of rural populations.
