Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has approved the appointment of new Permanent Secretaries and the redeployment of some serving Permanent Secretaries across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state civil service.
The governor, in a statement issued by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Office of the Head of Civil Service, Hajiya Rukayya Uba Sulaiman, congratulated the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries and described their appointments as a call to greater responsibility and selfless service to the people of Kano State.
Yusuf charged all the affected Permanent Secretaries to demonstrate diligence, professionalism, integrity and accountability in the discharge of their duties, urging them to work closely with their respective MDAs to advance the administration’s development agenda and enhance public service delivery.
He expressed confidence in their ability to justify the trust reposed in them and urged them to uphold the core values of the Kano State Civil Service while remaining committed to excellence, transparency and innovation.
According to the statement, the appointments and redeployments take immediate effect, while all handing-over and taking-over processes are expected to be completed on or before Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026.
