The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the approved fare of N7,672,822 for the 2027 Hajj, following a directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Kano, saying the approved fare applied to all intending pilgrims from the state.
Matawalle said the board would continue uploading pilgrims’ passports until the payment deadline, urging intending pilgrims to submit their passports even if they had not completed payment to facilitate timely processing of their details.
He explained that pilgrims who had already paid N7 million were required to pay a balance of N672,822 to complete the approved fare.
The director-general added that intending pilgrims making fresh payments were required to pay the full amount of N7,672,822.
He said the payment deadline had been fixed for Aug. 31, 2026, in line with NAHCON’s directive.
Matawalle urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments before the deadline to secure their seats for the 2027 Hajj.
The statement was signed by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Comrade Sulaiman Dederi.
