The Kano State chapter of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has pledged to donate equipment worth ₦1 million to the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), Kano State Command, to boost its security operations.
ACF Chairman Dr. Goni Faruk Umar made the pledge during a courtesy visit by CJTF members, assuring sustainable partnership and mobilizing additional support. He directed the CJTF to organize quarterly briefings and develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on security collaboration.
Dr. Umar cautioned against sharing unverified security information on social media, creating panic without solutions. He advised small business owners to utilize ACF’s interest-free loan scheme.
ACF’s Legal Adviser, Hajiya Salma Danbappa, offered training sessions on alternative dispute resolution and child protection. CJTF Secretary Shamsuddeen Idris Mu’azu sought ACF’s partnership on security and peacebuilding, highlighting the group’s intelligence gathering and community engagement efforts.
The CJTF lacks operational vehicles for intelligence gathering and appealed to ACF Chairman to serve as patron. The visit aimed to strengthen security collaboration and support community-based initiatives
