Kano Central Senatorial aspirant, Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura, has lost his father, Alhaji Abdulkarim Saleh Zaura.
The death was confirmed by his media aide, Dahiru Maiwuddadu.
The elder statesman died on Sunday morning after a protracted illness in Zaura town, Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State. He was 108 years old.
He is survived by six children—three males and three females.
His funeral prayer (jana’iza) is scheduled to take place at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday in Zaura town.
