– The Kaduna State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (KADRAAMP) has commenced a beneficiary study aimed at assessing the impact of its rural road and agricultural marketing interventions across the state.

The study is being conducted by Mbani Development, a consulting firm engaged by the Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU), following an introduction issued on June 11, 2026, to evaluate the project’s outcomes and benefits to rural communities.

According to KADRAAMP, the consultants arrived in Kaduna on June 25 and held an inception meeting with the State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) on June 26. This was followed by the training of enumerators on data collection methods in preparation for the field exercise.

Field data collection commenced on June 27 across various project locations in Kaduna State and concluded on June 28. The exercise involved gathering information from beneficiaries and stakeholders to assess the impact of rehabilitated rural roads and improved agricultural market access.

The project said communities along the road corridors turned out in large numbers to participate in the study, describing the exercise as transparent and inclusive. It noted that the positive response reflected the progress recorded in improving rural connectivity and supporting agricultural marketing activities.

The Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, supported by the World Bank and the Federal Government, is designed to improve transport conditions and provide sustainable access to rural communities through the rehabilitation and maintenance of critical rural road infrastructure, while enhancing agricultural productivity and market access in participating states.
