T Kaduna State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) has intensified construction work on the Anchau–Gadas–Pala road, a major rural infrastructure project designed to improve connectivity and boost economic activities across parts of the state.

The 21.7-kilometre road, which links several communities in Kubau and Ikara Local Government Areas of Kaduna State, is considered a critical route for farmers and traders, providing easier access to markets and essential services.
The project, being co-financed by the World Bank and the Kaduna State Government, is currently at an advanced stage, with significant progress recorded along various sections, including the stretch from chainage 0+00 to 1+20.

Officials overseeing the project noted that the construction forms part of broader efforts under RAAMP to enhance rural accessibility, reduce transportation costs, and improve the livelihoods of residents in benefiting communities.
Communities along the corridor are expected to benefit from improved movement of agricultural produce, increased trade, and better access to healthcare and education services upon completion of the road.

The initiative also aligns with the state government’s commitment to rural development and infrastructure expansion aimed at driving inclusive economic growth.
Stakeholders have expressed optimism that the timely completion of the project will further strengthen socio-economic activities and open up more opportunities for residents in Kubau and Ikara Local Government Areas.
