Officers and men of the Nigerian police in kano have obeyed the call of the IGP on shunning the purported planned strike by some of the officers.
Briefing journalists in kano the commissioner of police Sama’ila Shuaibu Dikko said he had visited all the police formations within the Kano metropolis and all officers and men have duly reported to their duty post.

“We are true Nationalists, and will never join any purported strike, today is Saturday and our officers and men have come out in their full uniform, we are regimental forces and we are obedient to our superiors”
Sama’ila Shuaibu Dikko maintained that the police are aware of the tireless efforts of the IGP in the improvement of the welfare of his officers and men, hence they will accord all the necessary support to his leadership geared towards Achieving the stated Goals
“We have no intention of going for a strike, we are regimental forces, and we know regimental forces don’t go on strike, anyone who does that is tantamount to mutiny”

Shuaibu Sama’ila Dikko urged officers and men of the Nigerian police to be more committed and dedicated in the discharge of their duties, to protect lives and properties.
