AMG Foundation Vows to Support Community Policing in Kano

Aminu Magashi Foundation a non profitable Organization has vowed to Support Community Policing in Kano with thee aim of enhancing the security of lives and properties.

 In an effort to fulfil the mission the Founder of the Foundation Dr Aminu Magashi on Sunday 16th Oct 2022, paid visits to some of the police formations in kano state.

 The  visit began with the Mandawari Divisional Police Officer CSP Abdullahi Usman Kamba. 

Mandawari Division is in Mandawari Ward in Gwale LGA, and it covers Mandawari, Magashi, Kabara, and many other places. 

During the visit the duo discussed extensively on  how to enhance community support and partnership with the police.

Dr Aminu Magashi also visited Rijiyar Zaki Division Police Command, Anti Daba Special Police Squad and  Liaison Office Police Special Constabulary Kano Command in Bompai.

The meeting with officers in charge of the formations was Very engaging, the foundation pledged to continually support with logistics, training of police on mental health and gender-based violence, advocacy to have more gender desks and female and youths recruitment, and having dedicated telephone lines in the 78 police divisions for people and community members to be called when in need.

Dr. Aminu Magashi concluded the 4 days working visit to Kano with a meeting with the Kano State Commissioner of Police CP Lawal Abubakar Daura at Bompai.

The founder of AMG  briefed the CP about the AMG Foundation Community Policing Support Initiative’s ,and the ongoing humble support in 10 police divisions and plans to support the CP initiative in providing emergency telephone lines to all 78 divisions, 11 area commands, and other special units and squads.

The foundation also commits to supporting training select-police officers on mental health and gender-based violence management in due course.
