Kaduna state government says henceforth any individual or groups of people found dumping refuse in drainage or undisgnated point will face penalty.
The Zaria Metropolitan Authority administrator Hajiya Balaraba Aliyu inuwa stated this while inaugurating the new Task force enfocement keep Zaria Metropolitan authority clean held in Zaria local government council.
Hajia Balaraba Aliyu Ahmed ,represented by special Asistance to the Sole administrator Abdullahii Lawal Lere explained that the Task force would take the Responsibility of keeping Zaria Metropolitan clean .
she said the term and reference of the Task force is to identify places, penalise defaulters through the authority concerned.
Hajia Balaraba Aliyu inuwa pointed out that the terms of reference Of the Task force include door to door campaigns on solids west collection to stop road side dumping of refuse .
she added that the Task force would ensure enforcement of effective and proper disposal of all solid west from House, shops across the entire Metropolitan.
The enforcement Task force consists of head of Zaria Metropolitan authority, officials from Zaria and Sabon gari local government council, security operatives, representative of zazzau emirate and all relevance agencies on invirounment affairs.
Speaking shortly after the innuaguration Sarkin Arewan zazzau Alhaji Bello Bello Sulaiman assured the Task force that the emirate is committed to participating actively in achieving desired purpose.
Some members of the Task force expressed their determination to work towards success of the Task force duty.
