GOMBE 2027: TRADERS, ARTISANS ENDORSE GWAMNA, PLEDGE GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION FOR APC

The Gombe State chapter of the Nigeria Amalgamated Traders and Artisans Development Association has reaffirmed its endorsement of Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election, pledging to mobilise support for the party across the state.

The endorsement was announced at a gathering held today at Custodian Hotel, Gombe, which brought together male and female members of the association from different parts of the state.

Speaking on behalf of the association, its Chairman, Alhaji Auwalu Abdulkadir, described Dr Gwamna as the best choice among the governorship contenders, citing his integrity, competence and ability to build enduring relationships across communities.

Abdulkadir said the association’s endorsement reflected its confidence in Gwamna’s character, leadership capacity and commitment to the development of Gombe State.

Describing the APC candidate as a symbol of unity and excellence, he noted that effective leadership requires more than ambition, stressing the importance of competence, accessibility and the ability to unite people around a common vision.

He said the association recognised these qualities in Dr Gwamna and was prepared to translate its endorsement into concrete political support through its extensive grassroots networks across the state.

The association also pledged its support for other APC candidates, assuring the party of its commitment to mobilising traders, artisans and their networks in support of the party’s candidates at all levels.

In his response, Dr Gwamna expressed gratitude to the association for its confidence and support, assuring members that he would not take their endorsement for granted.

He urged the traders and artisans to extend their mobilisation efforts to all Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), calling on them to galvanise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in Gombe State.

Gwamna further emphasised the importance of sustained unity, grassroots engagement and stronger organisational structures, urging members to expand their reach and deepen their connections with communities across the state.

The gathering provided an opportunity for traders, artisans and other stakeholders to reaffirm their solidarity and commitment to the APC, while expressing their shared aspirations for the future development of Gombe State.
