Northwest University Kano has congratulated the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, on the occasion of his three years in office, describing his administration as impactful, reform-driven, and highly supportive of the education sector.
In a statement issued by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, Staff and Students of the University, the institution expressed profound appreciation for the Governor’s continued commitment to the development of tertiary education in the state.
According to the statement, Northwest University Kano has witnessed significant progress under the present administration, particularly in the areas of infrastructural expansion, staff welfare enhancement, academic support, and the creation of a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
The University noted that several ongoing and completed projects within the institution stand as evidence of the government’s determination to strengthen higher education and improve institutional capacity for effective service delivery.
Professor Amina Salihi Bayero further commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his visionary leadership and sustained investment in human capital development, describing his achievements within three years as “remarkable and worthy of commendation.”
She added that the University Community remains grateful for the administration’s support, which has continued to reposition the institution for greater academic excellence and institutional growth.
The statement concluded with prayers for Almighty Allah (SWT) to continue to guide, protect, and grant the Governor wisdom, good health, and strength in his service to Kano State and its people.
