The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has dismissed five volunteer personnel from service over acts of unethical conduct, unprofessionalism and gross indiscipline.
The affected personnel were identified as Yakubu Mubarak Yusuf, Isma’il Muhd, Adamu Auwalu, Abdulrazaq Suleiman and Ahmad Sarki.
A statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, said the dismissal was approved by the State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, after due consideration of the misconduct allegations against the affected personnel.
According to the statement, the conduct of the dismissed volunteers was found to be inconsistent with the values, ethics and operational standards of the Corps.
The Command said all uniforms, identification materials, accoutrements and other official kits in the possession of the dismissed personnel had been withdrawn and confiscated.
Commandant Agalama directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and other relevant officers across the state to take note of the development and ensure that the affected individuals are no longer recognised or engaged in any official capacity on behalf of the Corps.
He reiterated the Command’s zero-tolerance policy on indiscipline, warning that any personnel found engaging in activities capable of tarnishing the image and reputation of the Corps would face appropriate disciplinary action.
The Commandant reaffirmed the commitment of the NSCDC Kano State Command to professionalism, integrity and efficient service delivery in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.
