The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Kano State Governor on Publicity, Comrade Al’amin Albarra, has commenced a strategic mobilisation campaign aimed at securing a second-term victory for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the 2027 governorship election.

The initiative, according to the office, is designed to strengthen public awareness of the administration’s programmes, policies and achievements, while also building wider support for Governor Yusuf’s bid to continue in office beyond 2027.

The campaign activities are being spearheaded by the SSA 1 on Publicity as part of efforts to communicate the administration’s development agenda to the people and galvanise support ahead of the forthcoming election.

The strategic approach is expected to place emphasis on grassroots mobilisation, effective communication, public engagement and the projection of the administration’s achievements across various sectors of the state.
The publicity office is also expected to use various communication platforms to reach citizens, particularly young people and other critical segments of the electorate, with messages centred on governance, development and the continuity of policies and programmes.
The campaign comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with stakeholders and supporters of the administration beginning to mobilise public support for the governor’s second-term ambition.
According to the office, the campaign is not only focused on electoral mobilisation but also on strengthening the connection between the government and the people through sustained communication and engagement.
The initiative is expected to feature a series of strategic activities aimed at highlighting the administration’s policies and accomplishments, while providing platforms through which citizens can engage with issues concerning the state’s development.

A video released by the office showcases one of the strategic campaign activities being undertaken as part of the broader mobilisation drive for Governor Yusuf’s 2027 second-term bid.
The development is expected to add momentum to the emerging political activities in Kano as political parties, supporters and various interest groups begin preparations for the 2027 elections.
