Zamfara State Police Command says, its succeeded in the unconditional rescue of five Kidnapped victims who were abducted in Kontagora and Bangi local government arwas of Niger State.
The Command Public Relation Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu made this known while parading the victims before newsmen at the command headquarters,in Gusau the state capital.
Muhammad Shehu said all the victims were rescued by the Police Tactical operatives during an extensive search and rescue operations in Dansadau forest under Maru local government area of the state.
According to him, Police and State Government Medical team are working in synergy to ensure that the rescued victims receive appropriate medical treatment while Police detectives from Anti – Kidnapping Squad are debriefing the victims before reuniting them with their families.

He added that, Commissioner of Police, CP Ayuba Elkanah appreciates the Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba and
Governor Matawalle for their support and encouragement to all the security operatives in the state.
The Command also sympathises with the victims and assures the people of the State that, Police in Collaboration with other security agencies and state government will continue to work assiduously to ensure the return of lasting peace in the State.
