A large crowd of party supporters thronged Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency in Kano State on May 16, 2026, as Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa was affirmed as the candidate for a fifth term in the House of Representatives.
The event, held in one of the most politically active constituencies in Kano South, drew stakeholders, party loyalists and residents from across the area.

The affirmation rally recorded a massive turnout, with supporters openly declaring their backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Attendees described the gathering as a demonstration of political strength and unity within the constituency ahead of future electoral contests.
In his acceptance speech, Kofa, who holds the traditional title of Jarman Bebeji, expressed appreciation to his constituents for their continued support and confidence in his leadership.

He assured the people that he would remain committed to delivering effective representation and would not disappoint them.
The lawmaker also highlighted several developmental strides achieved during his time in office, noting that some of his previous terms were cut short due to unforeseen circumstances.
Kofa commended the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Yusuf, stating that their administrations represent a renewed phase of progress and development for Nigeria, particularly in the northern region and Kano State.
He said their policies and programmes were already beginning to yield positive outcomes.
The federal lawmaker also called on fellow aspirants who contested alongside him to close ranks and work together in the interest of the party and the constituency.
Emphasising unity, he declared that the affirmation process produced no losers, but rather a collective victory for all stakeholders committed to the progress of Kiru/Bebeji.
